The Great Deluge was a worldwide flood that occurred in the year 9545 BC as described in Asket's Explanations - Part 4.
In brief, 300 years before this, a King Sahluk had a son named Saurid who had a strong ability to see into the future. In a dream, Saurid saw a great comet (The Destroyer) which pulled along seven smaller comets behind it, which collided with the Earth with terrible roaring sounds, whereby darkness came upon the world. King Sahluk then took action to prepare for the event and fortify the Great Pyramid with limestone and store non-perishable foods in order to save many humans when the Great Deluge arrived. It succeeded in fulfilling its purpose.
